What should be the Wireless LAN interface (wlan2 in my case) configuration to use it with chillispot? What do I have to set and what don't?

in chilli.conf I have:
dhcpif wlan2

I've tried leave the wlan2 interface unconfigured, but when I try to bring it up I have a message that the wlan2 interface is not ready... The wlan2 goes up unconfigured, but when I start chillispot nothing happened (the interface is not active).
