Hello,
bots are doing this. We are trying to remove everything now.
Chillispot got chillispot.org back! For several years, the site was hosted on chillispot.info website, but now its back on the original chillispot.org website!
The forum has also been restarted after 2 years of "read only mode"
Hope you'll enjoy!
Cheers!
This can be done easily with the free Hotspot Free Basic service. Built into dd-wrt under Services > Hotspot > Hotspot System.
Local users are a feature of ddwrt and it has nothing to do with chillispot. You should ask this in ddwrt forums.
Well, those came after the cleaning.
We are still searching for a good antispam solution.
If nothing works, we will manually verify posts.

In the past year chilli forum was fulfilled with spam posts by robots. Unfortunately we didn't have a proper staff to clean those out which made the forum unusable.
Now we made some efforts to clean the forums and added some security features which - i hope - will dramatically reduce spam posts.
Hope you will find this forum useful in the future.
Ok, i'm on it, thanks for noticing...
Hello,
it has to be set in the radreply table. But you have to calculate the time that the user spent online and update the Session-Timeout attribute by deducting the online time from it, otherwise the user will have the same amount of time when logging in again.
PayPal is using multiple IPs, constantly changing and rotating them, the worst is that they have different IPs from different countries, so these IPs may be good for your country but if an operator is in an other country, there's a great chance that you have to add new/different IPs.
The other thing is the Verified by Visa problem. If a user wants to use a credit card at a hotspot which is using Verified By Visa, he won't be able to pay because he/she will be forwarded to an external page for additional verification. Maybe to a visa site or maybe to his/her local bank's website.
So PayPal only solutions for hotspot will produce pain for some users and operators will lose money.
If i were a hotspot operator i will definately use an additional payment method with a real merchant account where VbV can be turned off or use a solution which is using different processors like www.hotspotsystem.com .
Hello,
yes it's possible.
The first router has to be configured as a hotspot router and you must set the LAN ports to have 'chillispot enabled' ports.
We're using HotSpotSystem.com as the hotspot provider but you can make it work with others too.
Here's how you can set the LAN ports to have chillispot enabled ports:
1. Setup > Basic setup > Network Address Server Settings (DHCP) > DISABLE (then Save)
2. Administration > HotSpot > Seperate WiFi from The Land Bridge > DISABLE, and
Administration > HotSpot > DHCP Interface > Set LAN & WLAN (then Save)
Then you must configure WDS for the 2 other routers (you don't need to have chillispot running there). Once they're connected they will get IP addresses by the chillispot from the parent router.
To configure WDS you can read this article:
http://www.hotspotsystem.com/deskpro/kb_article.php?ref=7055-QFMN-7515
If you're using a centralized hotspot system you can have 3 routers, all running chillispot with 3 SSIDs so users can choose where to connect.
Welcome to the forums reflex
I can confirm that v23 SP2 and v24betas are handling these variables correctly.
Well, the manual = documentation...
You can find more information in the FAQ... if you have questions, just ask it here.
What's exactly that you're trying to do?
The chillispot documentation is here.
DD-WRT documentation can be found at http://www.dd-wrt.com
The problem is that paypal.com is using different and multiple IP addresses and when chilli resolves the ip address of paypal.com, which has multiple IPs, only the first one will be allowed which may lead to unexpected results...
do we know the status of chillispot AB? is this site run by the origional team?
No, it's not the original team but we'd like to help the chillispot community and also those who are looking for information about chilli.
You can browse the internet archive here:

Hello and welcome to the new Chillispot forum.
We try to bring back this forum to the Chillispot community, however it's a new forum and we cannot bring back the old content.
However we'll try to post some interesting articles from the old forum later...
Until then, enjoy !
