I have got a mikrotik gateway and i would like to fix IP addresses for my access points so that i can manage them. I am a bit new to Chilli.  I have a couple of questions i wish answered.

1.Does Chillispot allow me to fix IP addresses of access points.
2. I have heard of the Any IP patch and is this the time to apply it? (on Chillispot version 1.0)
3. How is the patch run on xubuntu?

4. I have thought of a probable solution drawn below. Can this ever work?

Hello Guys

Please help on this matter. I have got Mikrotik base station. I have configured Chilli (Version 1.0) but i wonder what i am goind to do about static IP addresses because i always want to be able to manage my devices especially the base station.

My network is as follows:

Internet------Chillispot---------IP DSLAM Switch---------ADSL Router-----BaseStation

I want to be able to fix the IP address of the IP DSLAM switch, the ADSL router and the Base Station. I also want all these devices to relay DHCP information to clients.

NB. I have read about a patch but i don't know how to run it. Any help? The version i am using is 1.0

Can i configure chilli this way

net 10.150.0.0/16
statip 10.150.150.0/24
dynip 10.150.0.0/17

Please help.

I don't believe there is a way to do that. Th IP addresses are manage iside chilli. The server always take the first ip address of the subnet.

You may however give the ip address to eth1 using ifconfig
